After leaving the TV news business in July 2014, I ventured to the DFW, TX area to pursue a copywriter/project manager role with PartnerComm, Inc. — an agency that specializes in creating internal communication for corporations. Here are some highlights of the things I accomplished over the four years I spent with PComm.

United Technologies (UTC)
My team created Healthy Outcomes, a social sharing site for UTC employees and spouses, asking one simple question: What keeps you healthy? Working with web developers, graphic designers and other writers, I updated the site, approved submissions, added features like hashtags, search/filter and "thumbs up" and created promotions to drive traffic. I also wrote and co-managed other projects for UTC.

DHL offers various benefits to its employees. We used PartnerComm's QuickFind™ technology to build and develop DHLWell, a search-optimized website with site preferences — tailored for DHL employees — to learn about their benefits. We built emails, videos and print materials to promote the site and DHL's benefits. I was the main client contact, managing projects and writing communication, developing strategy and analyzing data to improve results.

The Michaels Companies
The Michaels Companies wanted its employees to get the full benefits enrollment experience online. We created this site to give them a one-stop shop with location-specific content. I helped write and proofread content and coordinate design and functionality with the graphic designers, web programmers and other writers. I also assisted with other enrollment materials.

PartnerComm Social Media
I co-managed PComm's social media platforms and revamped the company's Glassdoor profile, significantly increasing interaction and traffic on the sites. My coworker and I also dug deep to help improve employee engagement at PComm, researching trends and brainstorming ideas to #buildingabetterpcomm.

Recruiting and New Hire Training
When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a teacher. I've carved my own path from that childhood dream. I recruited candidates for all positions at PComm using Indeed, Glassdoor, Handshake, LinkedIn and other networking tools. I also crafted new hire training materials and co-led training sessions. I enjoy fostering and guiding people based on my own learning experiences, giving them the tools to excel from the get-go.
